Once your consciousness is in the aether, you become eligible to be reincarnated partially in the form of personal disposition, mindsets, and natural talent found in your subsequent offspring.

However, you have to consider the probability of you never being reincarnated ever again. By having a child or rearing a family, you get one more "ticket" for the lottery. Even if you happen to have a thousand of these tickets, there's always the chance of you failing to win the drawing.

When you get a medical disability or get your brain physically fucked up you'll realize how insignificant your existence was and that you're just an animal who got lucky.
