Why is it always so much more worthwhile to shit on people on 4chan? If you write something nice and constructive, you just get shit on for it. But if you shitpost, people join in like a bunch of tribal monkeys. What gives? Why is it so hard to have a constructive conversation online?

Here, people will actually read them, even if they shitpost in reply. On a different site, my posts will simply be deleted by mods or ignored.
