>Immediately assume people following trump are retarded

see, I don't really support Trump because he's not solid on a lot of issues, but he actually puts forth issues that the United States has right now.

Illegal Immigration is #1 the worst issue in the United States right now.

Followed by the disparaging wage gap between the lower class and upper class (which has grown ridiculously steep in the past few years).

Followed by the Islamic terrorism problem that's been rocking the planet for the past 10 years (everything from boston bombing, paris massacre, belgium bombing, German rape spree, 9/11, california massacre, etc).

Trump calls out all 3 of these problems while other candidates tip toe or every bend their assholes wide open (Clinton) for more rapefugees.

I digress. It's 60% Trump 40% Clinton at the moment.

They obviously are. And both Trump and Sanders have done a beautiful thing and awoken a great many people to the fact that "their" side doesn't care about what they think. There's no turning back now either. That "Christian conservatism" bullshit is dying out and people are nationalism is on the rise, while the left is becoming more socialist. Every time an establishment politician fucks them, we go further to the extremes. This world and all the fucking normies in it are going to boil in the sewage they've let pool up for so long.

bigot.
NOUN
1.a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions
>>
>hurr durr you can't deport 11 million people

You don't have to. As it sits right now illegal immigrants suck up a good portion of welfare, something like $24k a year in benefits on average per household and on average only pay back $11k of that in taxes.
So, it follows that what must be done is to increase checks and restrictions on welfare to keep the illegals from applying. And when they do apply, and it shows they are not legal citizens and cannot prove it, they are caught and deported.
As an added bonus, add more checks and restrictions to:
>purchasing vehicles, used or new
>renting or buying homes and property, used or new
>identities and legal status of employees must be verified whether you're a large multinational corporation, or a small mom and pop store

And that pretty much makes it impossible to live with any semblance of comfort in the USA for illegal immigrants.

If you're feeling extra cocky, pay out a reward to citizens who give information that leads to the deportation of an illegal immigrant.

I guarantee you they will self deport once they discover they can't leech comfortably off our country anymore, ICE won't have to do very much if such things were set in place.
>>
>>28428525
Trump and Sanders are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, there is no way you could support both of them unless you care about nothing except attempting (key word) to be contrarian to mainstream politics.

Up until now, no matter the party, people could at least trust that the other party would at least TRY to do what they thought was was right. That trust is already breaking down. Just imagine how much more radicalized both the right and left would be after four years of more of the same under Clinton.
>>
>>28428492
See I'm not so sure of that. I've actually considered that an internal civil war between the secular free market worshipping and religious nativist parts of the republican party is dawning on the horizon and a defeat this election could awaken long sleeping enmities between the two.

45% for Trump if Hillary gets the nomination and Bernie doesn't run third party

95% if Bernie does run third party

30% if Bernie gets the nomination instead of Hillary

>inb4 buttblasted Berniefag
There's many more Bernie supporters that would refuse to vote for Hillary than Hillary supporters that would refuse to vote for Bernie. I think very few conservatives would vote Hillary if Trump got elected (despite Cruz threatening to support Hillary over Trump) because Trump has tapped into the minds of the average Republican so well. He's not afraid to admit that many conservatives in the US are xenophobic and unintelligent, and it's getting him support with the general populace. Bernie is the better choice to get a liberal in the white house, but the democratic party has already chosen Hillary as their golden horse, which could cost them in the end.
>>
>hurr durr the wall is stupid and you can't make mexico pay for it

It's not stupid. In fact, many engineers say it can be build and the total cost would be somewhere between $17-20 billion.
It wouldn't just be a giant slab of concrete either, it would have cameras, seismic activity monitors, sonar, microphones and more to detect digging or trespassers.
Walls are one of the most effective tools to stop the movement of people on land, especially if they're opportunistic hordes of low-IQ 3rd worlders.

And yes, Mexico will pay for it. Just not directly, we'll have to foot the bill initially. The USA simply needs to enact a small tariff on their imports and exports (they rely heavily on us for everything) and to cut the aid we give them.

Not exactly. A single seismic monitor can detect digging for miles. A good one can cost a couple grand. Things tend to carry very far underground because unlike air, vibrations don't dissipate as quickly underground.

So if we, and this is all hypothetical, these numbers are pure guessing, assume we have a seismic monitor that is accurate to ~1 mile that costs say, $1,000, and our border is 1,989 miles, we could place a single monitor every mile along the border for the initial cost of $1,989,000 give or take another 3 million or so for the labor involved in installing them, and the computers to control them.
And then you have yearly upkeep in maintaining them which means we have to pay technicians to maintain them, sys admins to maintain the computers, and so on.

All in all the total cost of maintenance of the wall will be far below the cost of housing, feeding and dealing with the bullshit associated with hordes of brown monkey people.

Even if it did cost more than $20 billion it would be money well spent, you can't put a price on:
>keeping illegals out
>creating better wages for american workers because now companies have no other option but to hire people for fair wages
>decreasing drug availability in the illegal drug market
>increased security along one of our weakest points

>>
>>28429329
Point 1,3, & 4 are the exact same reason.

2 won't ever happen because people are lazy. You think someone is going to work 40 hours a week doing labor intensive work?

Do you think small business owners are going to employ non immigrants at a legal rate that can only work a maximum of 40 hours?

Also, if people wanted more jobs, just go to college and get a degree. A good one.

Don't get me wrong, I hate immigrants as much as the next guy, but unfortunately they'll never leave.

>>
>>28429433
>You think someone is going to work 40 hours a week doing labor intensive work?

I do it every week. Sometimes close to 50-60 hours of overtime.

I make good money despite being a warehouse worker, $15.50/hr and I drive a forklift, pick and pack product, kit product, stacking pallets, manually stacking product on pallets, and much more. I'm on my feet all day lifting between 45-60lbs. The irony is that the Mexicans end up quitting before anyone else, all they do is bitch and complain and fuck shit up or steal shit.

>but anon why don't you go to college?
I plan on going soon, I do want a better job don't get me wrong. I've been working this one since I graduated highschool.

>Do you think small business owners are going to employ non immigrants at a legal rate that can only work a maximum of 40 hours?
Not our problem. Change your business model to account for this or get out, because someone else with the know-how, expertise and resources will take up the market vacuum you leave when your business goes bankrupt.
>>
>>28429570
Used to work for a restaurant in college. The immigrants in the kitchen (and every kitchen everywhere) would work 6 days a week, for 10+ hours a day. All paid cash.

Do you think all those restaurants will hire 3-4 more people at a maximum of 40 hours, and have them all insured, filed under tax, and pay them livable wages?

Doesn't that sound retarded?

You think someone will just wave a wand and give everyone a dream job at a livable wage?

>keeping illegals out
This isn't inherently bad or inherently good. A large number of illegals enter the country legally anyways and overstay their visa.

>creating better wages for american workers because now companies have no other option but to hire people for fair wages
Wouldn't it be better just to crack down on companies that underpay their workers? That way the problem of legal Americans getting paid less than minimum will be solved too (and yes, this actually happens, I used to be one of these people).

>decreasing drug availability in the illegal drug market
Drug smugglers will always be several steps ahead of the law; it's not like most drugs are getting smuggled in by dudes just crossing the border where there's no fence anyways. And even if the drug availability is decreased, that will only lead to higher prices and more violence between drug lords competing for a very lucrative market. Drugs should be legalized and treated as a health issue, but that's another debate entirely.

>increased security along one of our weakest points
Security from what? There's more effective ways to solve all of these problems instead of building a comically high wall. The reason why "build wall" is much more convincing is because it's figuratively so concrete. It's more of a monument to our desire to keep illegals out than an actual plan to keep illegals out.

Exactly. While a wall would not help in that specific regard, my points outlined here >>28428556 would pretty much make them leave unless they like avoiding people and being homeless.

>Wouldn't it be better just to crack down on companies that underpay their workers?

Probably. But what you don't seem to get is we can do both that AND get illegals out of our workforce to increase wages.

>That way the problem of legal Americans getting paid less than minimum will be solved too (and yes, this actually happens, I used to be one of these people).

The Department of Labor exists for a reason.
They will assrape anyone who doesn't pay at least minimum wage for hours worked.

>Drug smugglers will always be several steps ahead of the law; it's not like most drugs are getting smuggled in by dudes just crossing the border where there's no fence anyways.

But that's exactly what's happening. A large portion of drugs in the USA come through the border by land.

>And even if the drug availability is decreased, that will only lead to higher prices and more violence between drug lords competing for a very lucrative market.

Higher prices due to scarcity leads to market shrinkage, you're thinking of high prices due to high demand. Once the prices of drugs goes up by a factor of 400x do you think any druggie is going to have the willpower or resources to come up with the cash to feed their addiction?

>Drugs should be legalized and treated as a health issue
Drugs should stay illegal but counseling, rehab and so on should be given instead of prison sentences.

>Security from what? There's more effective ways to solve all of these problems instead of building a comically high wall.

A wall is an effective solution. I've not seen a convincing argument otherwise.

not very likely now that gary johnson is a dent on the trump front. also hillary's voter volume is considerably higher than trump's, he would fail horribly in a head-on election.

WHY DO YOU HATE IMMIGRANTS?

i never said he was a realistic candidate, just that he'll steer some votes away from Trump because he's literally what the idiots that blindly support and believe everything Trump says wish Trump could actually be and represent.
>>
>>28430871
My god you are fucking stupid.

First off, in order to get around a wall they either have to blast through it, climb over it, fly over it, or dig under it.

99% of that can be prevented with simple sensors and border patrol.

Hundreds of thousands of pacos vs ~100 pacos a year crossing the border is an immense difference.

>What are the odds of Donald Trump winning the general election?

About 97%.

Democrats think they have it in the bag, so they're not even going to bother to vote ("who would vote for Trump? ehhh...I'll stay home").

Trump's base are convinced they need to get out the vote if he's going to win.

Pretty much a slam dunk.

that's just my opinion as a canadian. terrified of all these ameriburgers who are threatening to move to canada if trump wins. we don't need any more white trash.

who /america is about to become totalitarian as fuck in 10 years regardless of who's president/ here?
>>
>>28433379
I don't know about full-fledged totalitarian, but it's going to become extremely unstable with a lot of unrest.

He is polling higher than Hillary right now. His best poll numbers come from states like Ohio and Pennsylvania. He basically has those two states locked down after Hillary declared war on coal jobs. Florida is another state he heavily polls higher than Hillary in. He is basically going to take all the swing states with ease. The only way Trump is fucked is Hillary picks a latino as a running mate. If Trumps picks Susan Martinez as his running mate though he will flip New Mexico as well as lock down Nevada. Hillary is completely fucked if Trump picks Martinez like a ton of people think he is going to.

If Bernie drops out now then Hillary wins. The longer Bernie stays in the race the better are the chances for Hillary. That is why Mitt Romney lost. The other republicans ate him alive and fractured the party. Same thing was going to happen to Trump if others didn't drop out.

Fighting Bernie is bleeding Hilary dry and fracturing the Democratic base. Trump is fracturing the republican base but conservatives vote more to fight liberalism than for any candidates. Democrats vote more based on issues but they usually don't have as high a turnout as conservatives.

TLDR: Bernie drops out: Trump loses. Bernie stays in the race and Hilary can't unite the party: Trump wins.

This currently what the polls of Trump vs Hillary look like. Also apparently Trump is surprisingly turning NY into a swing state according to polls.
>>
>>28433511
Polls can be unreliable by nature, they're not to be treated as solid facts, hence margin of error and other variables.

Also, Hillary and Trump haven't even debated once yet. Things happen so ridiculously fast in politics, nothing is decided yet or even close to being decided.
