This might not be relevant to you but I'm going to share some of what I went through.
I went through a few year long phase of having no friends besides one online friend, and doing nothing being depressed and I finally realized I'm only feeling that way because I couldn't be myself around my old friends. I've started going out and doing things on my own, and don't really have any new close friends yet but am finding it much easier to talk to people when I'm out in the world with no expectations, no boundries, no one to impress or worry about.
