Celebrity obsession is weird.
I've heard various theories about human nature and wanting some sort of idol but I'm not sure if that's the reason or simply a guess.
My view is that celebrities are entertainers and that is a useful role in society but not useful enough to warrant obsession.

I generally really like anybody who is obsessed with a celebrity enough to call her their waifu. People with 2D waifus act superior to everyone because their waifu is some anime girl, whereas people with 3D waifus are generally much nicer, funnier, and less uptight.

There are none. On most serious waifu communities on the internet you will get kicked out for saying you have a 3D waifu, so people with 3D waifus generally have to wander and hang out by themselves. Because there's no central community, they just have to make up their own rules.
