Couple things... First, in america, you gotta do all that shit also if you want to become an electrician, plumber, welder, etc.. If you want to make shit money, you can go be a general laborer or contractor with little qualifications. Otherwise you are talking about years of training.
Second, if you're problem is that you can't find someone to take you on as an apprentice, than it's time for you to man the fuck up. Seriously. People in the trades will actually greatly respect someone who is really determined, so you need to start aggressively applying to jobs, and then following through by going to their shop or whatever and trying to convince them that you will work harder than anyone else, you will work weekends, nights, mornings, afternoons, whenever you need to. If all that fails, tell them you will work for a week for no pay, if they will consider hiring you at the end of the end of the week or whatever.
The point is, if you seriously want to work in the trades, than you need to work your ass off for a minimum of 5 years before you can't start reliably

Fuck trades, I spoke to a building contractor and he said he was working 7 days a week building houses and that he hasn't had a break from it (He started doing it like 8 months ago).
Tradie life seems like suffering to me, especially on site work.
