Well /r9k/, I deleted my 4gb porn collection that took me years to stockpile. It was choc full of rarities and pics that have since been deleted from their source. I've tried to do this in the past but figured I'd keep it but I don't know what brought me to just trash it now. When does life get better?

These are only videos. I used to "collect" animu/hentai images but never fap to them (I don't know) and that is another ~24 gb. I mostly 'use' one folder in the image which is just 53gb. My favourites, if you will. I'm consistently going through all of it and trimming shit out so over time it gets smaller--deleting shit I don't care for. Especially good since I've gotten a few siterips which nets you a lot of videos at once.

I also recently deleted nearly all of my porn collection, and some other stuff like gravure videos. I don't remember how much there was, somewhere between 100 - 200 gigs. I was hardly using it and needed more disk space. Haven't regretted it.
I'm more into 2D these days.
I did that back in 2009 and I still regret it. I keep redundant/offsite backups now.

I've thrown out things that I thought were the cause of all my problems. Drugs in the trash, web filters that prevent me from going to certain sites, etc. We run around in circles hoping to snip that one weed that's preventing us from having complete success in life.
The reality of the matter is that the things you delete, throw away or cut out are simply symptoms, not causes of your problems. That's not to say that these things don't waste time or negatively affect your psyche; just don't expect everything to fall into place once they're gone.
You want a real solution? Make a plan. Write down what you want to be and under that line write how you're gonna do it. Then under that write a simple task like "go outside" or "read one page" or "make eye contact with girl." This porn wasn't wasting your time unless you were gonna do better things anyway; make use of the extra space in your life to improve.
Don't get me wrong, congrats on your first step. You did a good thing. But there's so much more to be done, just keep going.
