I would have thought that a Failed normie is a robot that is not aware of his autism and tries his hardest to fit in or compete against his normie peers, without much success.
"Failed normie" is just what robots call other robots who aren't as robotic as they are. So a KV calls a V a "failed normie," for instance. The truth is that robots are pretty much all "failed normies." The nature of a robot is of someone who really hates the fact that they can't function in society socially in the same way their peers can. Someone who didn't care wouldn't be a robot and wouldn't be on /r9k/.

You guys have it all wrong. A failed normie is someone who wants to be a chad or normalfag. They might go to parties but not really talk to anyone. They come here asking for advice on how to ask a girl out. They're just weird dudes who want to be regular. I think they're just 2 sides of the same coin. Both robots and "failed normies" are undesirable to society. They have no social value, no one really cares about them. Both will experience social exclusion.
Robots realize this, and largely withdraw from a society the doesn't care about them. They no longer care about the values of society, or fitting in, or following or keeping of with trends. They don't care about social norms.
A "failed normie" is the same, the only difference being that they still try to fit in, failing to realize how much of a loosing game it is. They might wear popular clothing brands, listen to pop music, keep up with the latest social media apps and trends (Instagram/kik/snapchat/tinder), and all that shit. They might get invited places, but they'll never really be particularly wanted the way a more natural "normie" is. They could just not show up and no one would really care. They could leave at any time and no one would be particularly disappointed. At the end of the night, they're the one not getting laid, and the one who never made any closer connection with anyone.
That's my take on it at least.
