I read the manga. It went to shit towards the end.
It was originally a comedy and it became super-serious battle manga towards the end.
And I don't mean something like Magister Negi Magi, where the transition was actually good and they still maintained comedy.
I mean it became shoujo-tier predictable bullshit and the characters became flat and unrecognizable.
It's not worth it IMO.

I too know this feel OP. I watched nothing but cute girl yuri bait shows nonstop for 8 days straight, barely eating, didn't shower, barely slept, didn't do any work. By the end when I looked in the mirror I was just a shadow of my former self. I wanted to die. I wanted someone to come into my room and punch me in the face for being a useless piece of crap. I also remeber marathonimg everything. Got the whole feel train while watching some of them.
Now it is just a void, I feel nothing, but still wait for that one thing that will make my heart jump. It never haplens obviously.
The only medium that still manages to make me feel things is music. Anime just does not have the impact, you will need harder shit soon.
