I was 100% clean from last July til this April. I took 2c-b and didn't like it. I guess that's a relapse, but I think it was a one-off type of thing. I don't feel that type of irresistible pull to start doing shit again like I did before. That could change though, you never know.

Also, I had read some article a while ago how hallucinogens can get addiction. Actually some doctors experimented with treating alcoholics with LSD in the 1950's. You won't hear it much in the rooms, but expanding your mind with psychedelics in the right environment could be beneficial to your ability to control your substance abuse problem.

If taken for long periods of time, antidepressant and mood stabilizers permanently alter your brain chemistry. Perhaps that has a hand in the way your body reacts inefficiently when ingesting stims and opiates. Could have fucked up your dopamine receptors or something.

I actually go from time to time still. A lot of people shit on AA, but total abstinence really is the smartest approach for people who are of that disposition. It's supposed to be a program of last resort, and I don't think a lot of people realize or want to accept that they might be one of those cases.
I didn't find a lot in psychedelics. I did acid twice a little while after I first came back, and it didn't do much for me. Maybe they do for some people, but they just made me feel like everything I felt during the trips was a delusion and there was nothing deeper there.

It's sad, but most addicts need to hit rock bottom before they start getting their life together. This is especially true when it comes to heroin addicts and alcoholics. A majority of those successful had to lose their families, material things, and their minds before putting the effort needing to stay sober.
