I went to both junior and senior prom. Junior prom was dope but only because it was on a fucking aircraft carrier (pic related) and it was the year I'm On A Boat came out, and I was drunk as shit and had just started dating this girl. Senior prom was just a waste of time and money, spending money on overpriced prom tickets, dinner, and renting a tux to awkwardly dance in some random venue. I would've much rather saved the couple hundred bucks and spent some of it on a shitty motel room, solo cups, ping pong balls, and two cases of bud light. Invite a couple friends, get shitty, and play beer pong or cards or something man, prom is fucking stupid.

I went and it wasn't worth. At all. Long story short I socialised with no one but my autismo friend all night, got drunk as fuck for the first time in my life and did some dumb shit, puked and passed out at like midnight and my parents picked me up. We don't have dates where I'm from, you just go.
I did it because I felt like I needed to, so as not to be that one guy that didn't go, but in retrospect it was just a huge waste of time and money. And for people I've not seen or spoken to since, excluding the 3-4 friends that I had. Should have stayed home and played vidya.

I just ended up sitting there, didn't really like the food or the music
but it was fun being with her
we got invited by some chad bro, said something like
"hey you guys are never at our parties, since its prom you guys should tag along"
and we got in this huge party bus with all the normie chads and stacies and it was pretty cool
first time getting super drunk and first time i had sex with the girl
but she ended up leaving me for a chad the week after and i was heartbroken for the next 2-3 years :/
