No. Men still fight over whichever women is in their vicinity, no matter how attractive she is. Scarcity lowers men's standards but they still act the same.
I have friends in the military and the Dakotas. When there are no "attractive" women around, men will still fight over whatever is left. Men just need a hole, don't give them any more credit than they deserve.

Many girls aren't that qt naturally but makeup helps skew the average. If it didn't exist, their standards would lower and there would be moderate qt's for everybody!
