>So when the shifty guy hitting on you at the bar sends a shiver up your spine, thousands of years of evolution may be telling you to run.
>In fact, the study found that 95% of people expect creeps to be men more often than women, and that women are more likely to sense a sexual threat from creeps.

>Dept of psychology, knox college.
maybe you should learn to penetrate to the sources and make up your own mind-- instead of being a knee-jerk reactionist that gets triggered whenever he/she sees a media outlet they don't like.
Just a thought.
>BUT IT'S QUACK SCIENCE.
You'll have to pardon me if I don't just take your word for it.

>asking about personal life
>talking about their own personal life
>breaking eye contact
I think that I've finally realized why people are always put off by me folks. I just always thought it was nice to ask about another person.

Don't get too down on yourself, bud.
There's a bit of timing involved, and some give and take.
Try not to break eye contact after you say something, it makes them think you're being dishonest or you're uncomfortable being around them.
It's complicated. People can mistake nervousness or awkwardness for dislike. Another thing is: people will act differently around you if they think you're stuck up or don't like them. Or are possibly hostile.
>>28361879
Interesting, considering you can't quantify creepiness.
>>28363029
it's the frail mindset of the millenials
they seem to be way too sensitive to every little bit of social awkwardness to the point where smalltalk seems "creepy"
and it's no wonder men are considered more creepy, women are the ones who use the word way more than men
of course they're going to use it to describe them, men say other shit like ugly or weird
OP is burying the lede that in the 1600s a creep was known as a "gilded rascal" and that's a wonderful turn of phrase
>>28361879
if i don't talk to anyone, they won't think i'm creepy, r-right?
