She had lung infection 2 months ago, which I treated with antibiotics. And it got cured.
A week ago I noticed that she's not eating well and has overgrown teeth.
When I was trying to feed her from hands, she couldn't grab food with her mouth. She would instead rub her face on my hand.
As it turned out, she lost her vision to infection. And it was only getting worse.
I had to perform surgery and remove infected eye. After that she started eating for a day. But the next day she stopped again, and lung bacteria has reactivated again.
So she hasn't been eating or drinking anything for 4 days now, she's really skinny and I still make her drink antibiotics and water.
But when I put food in her mouth, she doesn't even chew or swallow. Tried 4 different foods.
Now I just watch her struggle with breathing motionless and want her to go without pain.
I gifted it to my mother May 9th 2014 for her birthday. In 4 days it will be exactly 2 years that she was with us.

no, I did it. it's wasn't as difficult as you might imagine. especially when eye was 4/5th out. (really not pretty). she lost every nerves in that eye and wasn't even moving or making any sound.
leaving it there could cause sepsis and is really close to her brain.

the antibiotics probably set a chain reaction in motion which ultimately caused her current state. people blindly assume antibiotics to be able to differentiate between good and bad bacteria, but they just really kill everything. they probably weakened her immune system to a point where infections spread rampant.
Don't give up OP. Go to a specialist and try everything you can. She will die anyway if you don't do it and/or put her down. Might as well fight. Keep her digestive system going as good as you can. There are special herb powders (critical care) for small rodents. You mix them with water and feed it to her with a small syringe. It will nourish her and restore her digestive system all at once.
