I'm a classical musician so it's basically all I listen to other than dadrock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS59z5Q0MdA
I mostly listen to opera at this point. I don't find much other music interesting.
>>28355369
A little lighter than what I usually listen to but it seems enjoyable
>>28355390
Do you use any specific headset to listen to classical? I've been wanting to buy a good pair of headphones but I'm not too knowledgeable about them. Seems with a good pair that classical would be elevated to new heights.

Bluegrass
Folk
Jazz
Blues
Anything that's organic.

Mostly prog metal/rock, but I'm open to whatever. Just discovered these guys recently and I'm blown away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu62Q1N64zc
Rock, Alt Rock, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Classic Rock. Basically just Rock.

Is opera still being made on a large scale that I could find new stuff consistently, or is it mostly old stuff?
>>28355473
I've heard of some of these, I'll give them a listen soon
>>28355504
Haven't really dabbled into prog but this sounds good
>>28355480
I see you enjoy your white stripes. Is last fm like a music streaming thing, is there a subscription, and would I have to leave my browser on?
Only stupid people limit and define them selves by specific music genres. You're not special.
>>28355544
Do you have any recommendations for some modern rock? I usually stick to Metal for modern day stuff but I could use some rock
I like reggaeton.
>>28355581
Who's this post referring to?
>>28355581
I mostly listen to music people would classify as fitting these genres, I don't exclusively listen to that. No one is special.
>>28355560
>I see you enjoy your white stripes.
i do! i was obsessed with them (and jack white's stuff) for a few years. i still love 'em but i haven't really listened to them much lately
>Is last fm like a music streaming thing, is there a subscription, and would I have to leave my browser on?
it can be used as a streaming service. the main part is the last.fm audioscrobbler app, though. you download the app, make a last.fm account, sync it with iTunes or foobar or whatever you listen to music with, and it'll log whatever you listen to on the iste.

I got into more modern rock about a year ago, until I got a car and listened to the modern rock station to be honest. I'll be shit on if I gave you any recommendations because their "edgy". Just use Spotify and go to the rock playlists, I guess.
>>28355627
I usually just download my music and use vlc, I'll look into it, thanks.
>>28355652
Well I listen to some edgy stuff too like Pantera and Slayer and stuff, but I do like what they make. I'll try looking for rock though.

These guys are seriously underrated. It's too bad they only got one record out before they called it quits.
>>28355735
One band that you've probably heard of is Volbeat. Some songs are hard rock, some are more like metal. They are like a mix of rock n' roll, and metal. Some of their songs are pretty upbeat sounding. Breddy gud.
>>28355317
This
>mfw someone says The Beatles are the greatest or most significant or most influential rock band
>mfw someone doesn't like Trout Mask Replica
>>28355742
They sound good, I'll try out their record
>>28355769
I have heard them before, but never knew about them. I remember my friend playing the song A Warrior's Call but never looked into it much. They sound good, but I tend to gravitate towards Thrash metal.
>>28355544
this
plus disco/funk and blues rock
>>28355009
Did John Baizley do the cover art for that?
He's a talented dude
Depends on my mood. I grew up with the Seattle Sound so I mostly get down to grunge, but I listen to everything from Electronic to Classical. There's something good to be found in nearly every genre I think.
