Atheist family? That's no excuse not to celebrate your American heritage with a pledge of loyalty to this great nation. I'm glad to see they still enforce this in public schools. It serves to let the kids know just where they stand. I certainly endorse it, even if it does seem to some of the edgier ones to be a small measure of fascism.
