You're going to elongate the process if you deny treatment, the stay shouldn't last too long. You can stop taking the pills immediately after you get out. A couple days on antipsychotics or neuroleptics isn't going to be that bad, relaxing even. Assure them you're not a danger to yourself or others and you're good to go. Your and the public's safety is their number one concern. Being suicidal is going to be the easiest way to get in, I suppose you could be committed for psychosis as well, but I don't want you to have to feign a psychotic break. As long as you're a danger to yourself or others and you can convince them. Certain workers are hesitant/resistant to commit you unless absolutely necessary.

Forgot to add that yes, it's almost imperative you have a qualifying diagnosis from a psychiatrist to be approved for SSI (autismbux). It's peanuts but it's something. It isn't easy by any means nor is it worth it. It takes years even if you're genuinely disabled.
