Have you ever noticed how fetishes tend to vary from culture to culture, and why?
Some of these make sense, like America having lots of furry porn (many, many, many children were flooded with cartoons with it as a child, not too few without sexualized characters in them).
But others are completely confusing. The west tends to have, far more frequently, diaper, vore, inflation, and fart fetishes; most of these are practically nonexistent in the east (or they're in different contexts/have different appeals). The east is more into vomiting, scat, and ryona, which the west hates.
It's also worth noting there are a lot that both the east in the west share in common, such as futa, crossdressing, and femdom.
How does one account for this?

I can't really think of a sound reason why people in Japan tend to have higher frequencies of people liking scat and vomit than the west, and why westerners tend to like inflation and diapers at higher frequencies than other countries?

Correct, but why, specifically? Like I said, one can pinpoint why the west likes furry porn, but so far no one has been able to give a clear-cut answer as to what it is about Japanese culture and experiences that leads to ryona and vomiting being more common fetishes.
