i-it's a lot more comfortable for skinny dudes than a belt, i've also got a scar on my hipbone that hurts if I tighten a belt over it the wrong way

Couple reasons, even disregarding style (it does look pretty autismo with no belt) they're clip-on suspenders and the belt keeps stuff from brushing against the cheap clip and unclipping it. Also, like I said before I have a scar on my waist that's pretty sensitive, and the leather belt keeps me from lightly brushing it against stuff and cringing in pain. I would seriously wear a pad (like a sort of helmet for my hip) if it wouldn't make me look like an 80yo Alzheimers chum, it's pretty bad.
