Holy shit, this. It's surprising how many times I've gotten away with literally just asking to do it alone. It's probably because the teachers acknowledge that there is literally no point to grouping up and they choose to make us do it arbitrarily. Pretty much every assignment a teacher wants people to group up for can be accomplished alone.
Anyways, when they let me do it alone, I'd usually turn it in the next day or the day after, and a week or more is usually alotted for the project.
