I think anime is alright. It's not better than western media, it's just different. The key to life is to balance your media consumption by watching both eastern and western media. That way you don't become a total weeb or a total nigger.

Not OP. Bleach was the first manga I actually spent a great deal with back in high school. My school stopped getting volumes of it afer the time skip so I stopped trading it. Did I miss out on anything great? I was thinking of continuing it afert taking a 5 year break.

I first watched Trinity Blood on Adult Swim. AS had a surprisingly good anime lineup back in 2006. I can't recall a lot from that show, but I remember it just being visceral as fuck.

The meaning of "otaku" is a complex topic and there's been books written about it. The older definition is that they are devoted and knowledgeable fans of things like manga, anime, video games, model kits, computers, scifi, amateur radio, military things, and trains. These days it usually means people who are really into anime, manga, doujinshi, figures, bishoujo games and moe. Though the definitions are not mutually exclusive.
Someone who mostly watches shows like Naruto, drops unnecessary Japanese words in daily speech, rants about the superiority of katanas, and dismisses all Western culture is a weeaboo.
