I've been doing retail for like a month now and I've never wanted to kill my self more than I do now.

I have a crappy college degree and I'm 40k in debt; obviously, my chances of getting a better job is pretty FUCKING low if I'm applying to clean toilets and pick up garbage or sit in a room all day with the cops on speed-dial.
If anything, my indentured servant class should tell them that I won't be going anywhere for probably at least a half a decade, and probably more.

Factory works isn't too much lifting, look into getting trained to use a forklift.
