Norman is also a professional buttkisser. That's how he got his manager position.
Before ending up working for Chad, Chuck could have some dead-end jobs but he's unable to hold any of them down for a long time because his social skills aren't good and his jobs often involve other people. Some jobs:
>cashier at McDonald's or a similar place
>waiter in an Italian restaurant (a running gag would be spaghetti falling)

>janitor (he quits because it doesn't pay well, he says he "practically do[es] it for free")
