Its because people are too stupid to differentiate subjectivity and objectivity. Linkin Park is not good. But some songs can be enjoyable to listen to. People with no imagination or knowledge about the topic will confuse their enjoyment of something as it being "good".
It's a very self centered way of thinking. "If I enjoyed it then it MUST be objectively good." Type thing.
