Just a reminder that I make thousands more annually than the national median personal income for people with a bachelors degree, and I have no degree. I also have $0 debt (unless you count the cell phone contract!). College is a complete farce and a lie and has been devalued by everyone going. If you want to be a specialist (doctor, chemist, etc) then I implore you to go to college (obviously!) but don't just go for a generic bachelors degree if you just want a good paying job. You will just end up in debt like a stupid faggot.

I'm stuck at a 9 to 5 uni which means I can't work full time and I'm stuck living at my parents place, even though I'm a 21 year old man and for the sake of my own mental health I need to move out and live with people my own age and be out there in the world.
I'm stuck doing the school thing for another year and a half and I have to wake up in this shithole and talk to my parents everyday and some of the broken record bullshit I've heard for the past 21 years here really strikes me now at my age and makes me think, "this isn't healthy" "this isn't natural" "this isn't what my mind needs right now, i need to be out of here and away from you".

Oh for fucks sake. I lived with my parents through college and graduated debt free thanks to not having to pay ridiculous housing costs. Now I work full time and make $60k a year. I still live with my parents. I am maxing out my 401k and I am saving every penny I make for a house. If I didn't live with them, half my take home income would pay rent alone, unless I lived with roommates. And I would rather live with my parents than some strangers.

I work in HR and do hiring for a top 100 company and if you want a job at literally any good company, you need a college degree. Get your associates and get your foot in the door at a good company. Bachelors is preferred, but associates is a minimum. Once you get into a good company, you can move up.
Don't listen to this anon who clearly has no idea that they're talking about. I hire, on average, 5-15 people per week, and absolutely 0 of them do not have college degrees. Well, actually that's not true, I do hire housekeepers but that's usually because they're on work visas from other countries.
