We have had our coolers malfunction and had to store all that frozen food in the back room backup cooler, but it wasn't repaired in time so most of it was past the expiration date.
Damaging out around 2300 dollars of frozen food did not push our shrink rate up any noticeable amount over the previous years of just normal operations and no disasters (they didn't even give us the disaster ticket for those coolers going down)
