European law is a bit more complex, I'm from Germany and here people are able to engage in sexual action from the age of 14 with up to (I believe not including) 18 year olds, can marry at 16 with their parents consent and are free to do whatever they want at 18.
This, in my opinion, is a far more differentiated and complex approach to this topic then the 'You're under 18, you're a child and therefore can not consent' methedology.
Also, why are americans such prudes in respect to sex and everything around it but don't condone the unreasonable lax gun laws? Why is violence ok but sex is not?
