Look at these US Army recruits. They're only 18 but they look like they have their shit together, are physically fit and are in the prime of their lives. Not even close. Most of them will be treated like children all the way until they get out. They'll still make a paycheck, get laid, be a normie, etc. But they still will suffer from a lot of the same problems you suffer from.
They'll have issues finding love, finding purpose outside of the army, adjusting to society, and generally trying to live life.
Although this is mostly anecdotal, I'd bet at least one of those is a complete shut in and won't do shit outside of what the army requires of him/her. The others will run into other problems like marrying strippers, financial responsibilities, and a lot of isolation from those they care about.
tl;dr: Army will probably make you have less weight and more money, but you'll still have shitty feels.
