not that i'm a furry but if i ever had to be a fag and pick an animal to identify as it'd be a crow or raven
>>
A pigeon landed on my head once. That was neat.

I live in a town with a lot of Seagulls, you can literally sit down and they'll come up to you and you can hand feed them.

Ew what the fuck

How many germs do those things carry

None you fucking mammal-loving normalfag. Birds are extremely hygienic and wash regularly.

>tfw rescued a baby crow a few years ago from the side of the road
>took it home and made it a nest out of straw, sheeps wool and old clothes
>fed it worms and dog food as it grew up
>taught it to fly by throwing it in the air and letting it glide
>used to always follow me around and never left my side
>would fly over to me and land on my shoulder and nibble my hair and ears
>loved to be stroked and fussed
>parent eventually made me get rid of it because it kept shitting on the house :(

tfw will probably never have another loving pet crow
>pic related is birdbro, i miss you Atticus
>>
>>28255331

Holy fuck anon, I'm sorry to hear your parents made you get rid of it, but thats a great story.
>>
>>28255342
thanks anon, means a lot
>>
>>28255331
>parent eventually made me get rid of it
Got rid of it as in, let it out in the wild or gave it to another owner?

Because if you let it out in the wild, then it probably would've been dead in less than 3 days.
>>
>>28252176
I would have shat on you cunt
>>
>>28255409
we drove to a coppice/ wooded area a few miles from our home and let it free there. Hopefully it made friends with the other crows there or took scraps from walkers and people eating lunch but desu it probably died either from lack of survival instincts or from being killed by other birds :(
>>
>>28255409

Thats not true at all, Crows are clever birds, it would have lived a long life.
>>
>>28255491
i really hope that happened, i know how clever they are and my crow at least had the sense to eat berries and scraps of food off the floor
>>
>>28255535

You're a legend to Crow kind anon, they all talk of the rumour of that boy who helped the Crow.

You may have doomed his fate..

>>28255491
Yeah if it learned to survive in the wild naturally. However he was spoiled it at a young age, so his only hope is if he followed another crow or got lucky and figured out how to hunt.

>Have pet cockatiel
>It's a nice day, so I decide to take it outside(on cheap bird leash)
>everything is going fine
>some passing car blows their horn
>spooks my bird
>didn't grab leash in time and he flies away
>flies to the highest fucking tree 3 houses away
>I try bird calling, and he responds, but he doesn't seem to know where I am
>1 day passes
>randomly hear his bird calls during the morning
>sickening feel in my gut
>it's like hearing your child scream and you cant really do much to help
>remember that I recorded his bird call, so I play it from my car as loud as I can
>he FINALLY flies down, but he's like 5 houses away
>literally jump the fence and get into their yard
>he was just randomly walking around in their yard clueless lol
>just casually pick up him
>he was clearly starving, because he ate his entire bowel of pellets when i got back

I hope your crow lived a happy life though :o

i had a similar story with my crow

>still young and only just learnt to fly
>gets spooked by my dogs (3 jack russel terriers)
>flies up into a high af tree and wouldnt come down
>spent numerous hours trying to get him down by using bits of food and calling him
>put a ladder up to the tree but he only went higher
>decided fuck it and went to bed as it was dark
>set my alarm for 4am and tried to get him back down, still no luck
>tried again a few hours later, again no luck
>eventually he came down later in the day but he was shaken up and ate like a mf

My work has a memo sent out to stop fucking with the crows. Since we all wear uniforms/hats they commonly harass people because some new faggot was chasing em around. Not to long ago they got in to some ones fishing gear in the back of their truck, and were dropping hooks and shit on people, clever bastards. After this people were chasing them off and throwing rocks, making em more angry.

I have started peace accords with offerings of french fries, they seem to really like McDonalds ones. They stopped harassing me, although if I put my hat on they some times mistake me for coworkers. People are mad at me for doing this, they want to exterminate them via pest control but good luck with that since the forest next to work has an endangered owl species.

I read some shit about how not only do crows remember faces of "suspicious" people, they also tell their bird bros about any suspicious people they've seen. Even years after the "suspicious" behavior the whole murder of crows remembers even though the original observer crows are long gone.

>>28256173
Well, the person has to be there for the crows to spread the knowledge.

Kinda like if your friend pointed to a guy and said, "he's a shithead". Then you'd be weary of the guy even though you've never seen him do something shithead related.
>>
>>28255771
Yeah theres a few buzzards that visit the fields next to our house regularly. You can see them hopping about and hunting rabbits most mornings
>>
does anyone have that green text with the crow and the beads? the crow dies in the end
>>
>>28253981
You're kidding, right? Birds are some of the most disease ridden animals around

I mean I think they're cool too but if you think petting some random raven is not disgusting then you're just deluding yourself. They are gross

This is a good thread and I don't wanna see it die
