What's the difference between a millipedes and centipedes? Leg count? What they eat? How they act? Also this is an odd thread, what makes them so cool to you? Why do they roll up like that? What's the point of millipedes? What do they doooooo
>>
>>28247956
Aww
>>28247998
Centipedes are poisonous and eat small mammals and are not kawaii (but can be sorta badass nevertheless). They also have a hundred legs while millis have at least a billion. The point of millis is to kick dust around the earth, just like you and me, and be shiny metallic and have sweet abs.
>>
>>28247998
When you see a millipede in real life you go "ahh ok, cool"

When you see a centipede in real life you scream like a little girl and retreat a few meters back.

I'm sure you've had a moment or two like this?
>>
>>28248084
And the point of centipedes is too literally fuck shit up.

Like wasps, but more exotic and scarier.
>>
>>28247702
Where is the face part. What does it eat. Help
>>
>>28248084
Really? Millipedes just chill around and move dirt around? Why? How does that help it? Does it live underground or something? What kind of species are there? How do they differ? How big can one get? I heard that they curl up when they die. Tbh they seem cool enough, are they friendly? Plant friendly maybe?

>>28248094
Kinda, do they have the longer legs and such? How can one eat a small mammal? Where do they live? What do they do? Can they also kick up dirt and stuff? Do they fight with the millipedes? How are they less kool and kawaii?

I have some pet zebra roly polies but no pet millipedes. I've been thinking about getting some though. I'd just rather have a pet that is easy to handle that doesn't spit the goo.

>>
>>28248601
OP said roly polies okay.

They're a kind of crustacean. They live in gardens and look like little bugs that can roll up into balls to protect themselves if they are frightened.

Also posting one of my rough woodlice. Can't roll up so not a roly poly but very closely related! This one is my favorite individual. All of mine have been selectively bred for generations to display these recessive white exoskeletons with grey spots. This is the same species you would find in most gardens, but in the wild they are usually grey, the dominant color.

>>28248714
They are a type of isopod! So are the woodlice.

>>28248729
Bugs make wonderful pets imo!
>>
>>28248767
Is that guy furry? Can't tell if it's just the light.
>>
>>28248846
Nope, but its exoskelton has tiny dimples that make it look odd textured and there are tiny grey spots that can pass as hairs.

Isopods are easy pets to keep. I keep the rough woodlice (I have a about twelve plus a bunch of babies about a millimeter big) in a tank with springtails (tinier bugs that eat mold and fungus and leaves and stuff) and some hissing cockroaches.

I feed the cockroaches fresh food like lettuce or carrots and put dry leaves on the dirt in their tank and mixed in with the dirt of the tank and then I keep it all moist.

The isopods eat the cockroach poop and the dry leaves and make more dirt and the springtails eat any mold that forms. This way I don't have to clean up after the roaches.

Millipedes are cute in the way snakes can be cute. Of course they can be terrifying in the same way, but after seeing this thread I will admit they have an adorable kind of charm to them in the right light. Kind of like how Rolly-pollies are cute, except longer.

CENTIPEDES ON THE OTHER HAND ARE FUCKING WEIRD ALIEN LOOKING DANGEROUS PREDATORS THAT WILL HAUNT YOUR NIGHTMARES HOLY SHIT.

It's like the difference between cute, honey making, fuzzy, life loving bees and evil alien looking wasps.

Sure, you wouldn't want a bee to be hanging around you but it probably won't fuck with you and looks cute. Wasps on the other hand, if you have a wasp near you get the fuck out of there. They do not look cute at all.

Also, centipedes are nimble navigators, and can be highly venemous. They have two curved, hollow fangs, which inject paralyzing venom. The centipede... is a predator.

>CENTIPEDE
>GET EM OUT

>You can't stump the trump

>Pic related, a not-kawaii alien looking motherfucker that looks like it crawled straight out of your nightmares to kick Shillary's ass in the election

>Roly Polies

Colloquies term usually for woodlice/sawbugs/pillbugs. Land isopods.
>>
we should kill all nature other than meat animals
>>
>>28248471
pls be ok mr. millipede, don't let those mean ants bully you :c
>>
>>28248471
stupid soldier just tapping on its shell.
>>
>>28248601
cute little guys that are the absolute shit. I will never ever purposely kill one, they are just too adorable. They're little black oval things that kind of look like a cross between a milipede and a lobster, and they just crawl around all day being chill. If something mean tries to come and bully them, they crawl up into a neat little ball, protected by their hard shell against anything their size (unfortunately not immune to shoes)
>>
>>28248998
I think wasps are pretty bad ass desu.

>SEE THIS SHIT FUCK NAW NIGGA GET THE .22 WITH THE SNAKE SHOT THIS THING NEEDS TO DIIEEEEEE

>>28249100
No doubt about it they are badass. Just fuck being anywhere near them. The only wasps that will hesitate to fuck with you in my exprience are Paper Wasps, because they are generally just good natured for some odd reason, they'll just fly around being cool unless you fuck with their nest or something. Yellow Jackets and Hornets will just fuck around with you for fun, because they are Satan's flying children and hate happiness.
