This one is if you want a perma solution. Gunpla is a hobby. Basically, you build Plastic Models of giant robots. There should be a guide on the sidebar explaining everything you'll need to start out on the hobby. Then, you'll make a post looking for fellow builders or building groups near your area. Say it's because you're just starting out and are looking for tips. Get some kits, build both Gunpla and a friendly relationship with these people. Then, when your parents come knocking, instead of showing them some random fedora dude whose name you don't even remember, you'll show them a good friend who you share interests with. Hell, you actually come out on top with this one, because you'll have an actual IRL friend.
Only issue is, you'll have to actually buy kits and tools yourself, which means using money. Also, if you end up not actually enjoying building Gunpla, this was a huge fucking waste of money and time.
