What did robots grow out of metal?
>>
>>28236196
Do you become a faggot when you grow out of metal?

I mean, from what I can surmise, based on the OP. The answer is resounding YES.
>>
>>28236196
I basically only listen to metal and punk at this point. I don't dress like a tool though.
>>
>>28236196
Never really liked metal, but I actually grew out of punk.
>>
>>28236362
>>28236367

this. still listen to the music but dont dress up like an edgy teenager..
>>
>>28236196
I'm 25 and I still listen to the same genres I did when I was 16.

Metal, grunge and electronica.

Thrash metal came back recently, so did some core grunge in some form or another.

Electronica is fucking dead though. House killed the shit out of it.
I'm cool with House but I miss Crystal Method style stuff.
>>
>>28236196
I grew out of dadrock when I turned 18.
>>
>>28236196
How do I get my hair like pic related?
>>
>>28236196
I've never grown out of any music, because I was never really into any music in the first place.
>>
>>28236196
I grew out a full head of luscious long hair.

u triggered hairlets?
>>
>>28236196
metalfags are one step above robots because while still social outcasts, they are members of a social group of outcasts which is more than most robots can say.
>>
>>28236457
I use to dress like a faggot like I just wear comfy shit while still listening to metal
>>
I'm 28 and I still enjoy metal.

I never *dressed* like I listened to metal. It's fucking stupid. Just because you like a thing doesn't mean you need to grow your hair out and look like a faggot.
>>
>>28236635
same. if youre a robot and dress "metal or "punk" that gradually decreases your chances to get laid by like 200%. could have boned stacies in HS but i dressed like those black metal fags do and scared them away. but i was glad there were slutty metal chicks to ride your pole, not the best looking but pussy is pussy.
>>
>>28236196
Wrath and Desolation are the best albums LoG has made
you can't just stop simply listening to that, because it helps me to deal with stress

>tfw was a huge metalhead
>Haven't heard any good metal for the last 5 years
>Friends are slowly getting me into electronic music
>Don't really enjoy anything as much as I did when I listened to metal

Help.
>>
The only piece of 'metal' clothing I own is the Batman logo with its head bitten off
>>
>>28236196
Was never into it. I went from Indie/Alternative-Rock to Normie-40, Hip-Hop, R&B, and EDM.
>>
26 and I still enjoy the fuck out of listening Pantera, fuck you. Nothing wakes you up in the morning better than metal.

What kind of metal did you like?
>>
>>28236196
At age 14. Sometimes I listen to some of the songs I used to listen to. They sound ok except I cringe super hard when I remember adults actually take that shit seriously.
>>
>>28237260
Can you even count more than 5 metal bands?
Hard Mode: No Limp Bizkit and Slipknot, bet you only know those
>>
At 18.metal is for teens
>>
>>28237230
Thrash is my favourite but I was starting to get into some heavier power after staying away for years because I thought it was for fags. How about you?
>>
>>28236196
Didn't this guy come back and tell people to fuck off because he still liked some metal? I remember seeing this in a thread a few years back.
>>
>>28236634
So because i'm a metalfag am I not a robot?

>tfw grew older and learn to love other genres

>tfw still love metal and didn't become a pretentious hipster.

feels good.
>>
I grew out of stuff like linkin park, paramore, slipknot and other shit when i was 16 but i still enjoy stuff like Megadeth,Slayer and some older Metallica albums.
I mean the new Megadeth album, Dystopia, was pretty gud
>>
>>28237840

Are you me except replace metal with post rock. My taste is pleb tier now from what it was but at least I have good taste in electronic music so it's whatever .

And answer to op is 16, after I tried to stop impressing that goth girl nothing happened with.
>>
I used to only listen to metal classics like Slayer, Burzum, Cannibal Corpse, Death usw. and more abstract stuff like Ad Nauseam, Napalm Death and Full of Hate.
I recently started listening to Dream Theater (again, I was really into them in my cringy teen metal phase). Does listening to DT make me a fag? Even if I only listen to their "good" albums?

You'd be surprised how many people like us there are out there.

Where you slowly grow out of your edgy period and you just want to listen to music that makes you feel all happy inside maybe even sing along to the lyrics.

Right now I just play Dota and listen to the same 30-40 songs on repeat. Here's my shittaste. I would try to fit more into that screenshot... but i can't unless i flip my monitor to portrait and im too lazy.
>>
>>28238070
On a related note, can someone rec me some prog metal that's actually good?
>>

If Metallica and Megadeth are the extent of your metal listening career then you barely pierced the surface of the genre as a whole.
>>
>>28238172
There's none. Prog metal has and always will be shit unfortunately.
>>
>>28238247
No they aren't, i was just talking about stuff that i started liking when i was 14-16 which i still like.
>>
>>28238185
How did you come to that conclusion?
>>28238223

Hating things you hated in your childhood and adolescence is a manifestation of self-hatred.

Was never into power. I listen to a lot of the sub-genres but I'm pretty picky at the same time.

Recently found a black metal band that mixes a soul/spiritual sound with it. It's pretty good.

I still mostly listen to metal, but also find myself listening to a lot of blues, folk, classic rock, and even some hip hop these days. quite a few people (especially younger metalheads) seem to have this notion that one has to either listen exclusively to metal or not listen to it at all, which is completely ridiculous given that most major metal musicians regularly seek musical inspiration from non metal musicians
>>
Metalfag here. Nwobhm, doom and brutal death. really big into punk and old school hip hop too. Also can never go wrong with oldies, and dad rock
