I plan on suggesting to change the time to the morning so we can eat at one of the restaurants in the aquarium for lunch instead of getting kicked out at 5 pm (when they close). How do I do that? I plan on saying "Hey, are you ok with me coming in the morning instead, like 9 AM?". (btw fish land opens at 9 so that will be best time to get there.)
Also, how do I make it clear that this is a date and not a couple friends hanging out? I don't know how to initiate hand holding, I'm afraid I'll make her cringe or something, plus I've never been in a relationship or even held hands with a girl before.

It's set up so the whole building is a giant exhibit with birds flying around and some monkeys on an island in the middle. Below is a small river with manatees, arapaima, turtles and various large freshwater fish. You basically work your way down from the canopy with birds to the bottom. Along the way you see otters, birds, monkeys, bugs, bats, amphibians, reptiles and a sloth.
Then you go to an area that is supposed to be based on mexico and has all sorts of fish from that area and the shark tunnel.
The end is a standard aquarium with tanks based on location then penguins.

She didn't have a car so I had to pick her up at her house. Had to meet her fucking parents before I even saw her. You have to realize OP is in a leadership position in some organization so he probably has his shit together socially. I'm fairly run of the mill robot; awkward, anxious, etc. Aquarium is a good idea.
Good luck anon. Look up some different conversation starters online so you don't run out of things to talk about. Don't play it so cool that you come off cold. Open doors for her etc. Make sure you go up to her door when you pick her up and dont just text her your outside. If her parents are near by introduce yourself. You will be great. Next time you like a girl and want to ask her out DO NOT take her on something you pay for unless you are both working adults with careers and disposable income.
Paying for girl to go with you to the aquarium on the first date is a bad idea.
1. It raises the stakes too much. You will feel angry and like you've wasted your money if it doesn't go well
2. You might end up with a girl who is happy to go out with you while you spend money on her but doesn't like you that much
3. it is likely to make her feel awkward. Paying to take someone to the aquarium on a first date seems a little too keen, and if you pay for her ticket she might feel pressured or indebted. It isn't relaxed. Too formal and too many expectations
4. It makes it seem like you like her too much already, reduces your value. At the beginning girls like flirtatious, playful, fun, casual interest rather than head-over-heels.
For a first date with a girl in highschool or college go for a walk in the park , bring a frisbee or ball if you want, or go and get ice cream from an ice cream van, go to a museum.
Going to get coffee can be ok but it feels more awkward if there's a lull in conversation whereas when you're walking around that doesn't feel so awkward.
It's good to treat a girl to coffee or ice cream on a first date but paying for her aquarium ticket is too far.
