Don't shave; trim. Shaving will make your cock look like a plucked chicken and you'll have to deal with ingrown hairs and stuff. Let chicks deal with that.
If what you've got right now is really thick, use a pair of scissors to cut it down to a reasonable length. Then use a beard trimmer or similar to trim it down to a few millimeters in length.
Looks good and makes things much easier to clean. Recommended.

just go slow and with the grain. it will seem like nothing is actually coming off but if you are persistent you can get it all off. its a lot easier if you just have a hair buzzer because that way takes literally 30 seconds
