Who /obesebutjustdon'tgiveafuck/ here?

Just ate four waffles with a fat cup of chocolate milk to go with it. Fuckin' delicious.

What are my fellow robots eating?

this. its so true. I maintained 180 all throughout high school and up to my mid twenties.thought Id always just stay 180 so after not weighing myself for two years i decided to see if my weight had changed or not and YEP im now at 210. I gained 30lbs in 2years without fucking noticing it ffs and only AFTER that have I ralized my clothes dont fit the same anymore. wtf do I do now. I dont want to exercise. Im too lazy, nor do I really want to give up food/count calries and all that... but.. I also dont want to keep getting fatter

what should I do robots?
>>
>>28192558

I just switched to diet soda. I've always been skelly and kept getting more disgusted as I became skinny fat. Then I realized an easy way to cut calories as I drank 2L/day. You can also trick the eyes. Dips, chins, and pushups will add mass that exaggerates the v-taper. I would gym if I could be fucked but I am happy with the minimal muscle added by doing 1xF Q whenever I feel like it: dips, chins, and pushups.
>>
>>28192793
>tfw never drank sugared beverages
>tfw don't eat meat or sweets
>tfw still gaining weight

WHEN DOES THE NIGHTMARE END? I'm thinking of going full fasting mode. I too have historically been skelli, and I'm only around 10lbs off. That's like what, a month or two of not eat on and off?

Gotta bite the bullet and just do it
>>

At a certain point it becomes unethical to be so fat. If you're eating as much as three people, while there are others starving in the world, you're an immoral person, and should be shamed.

Not really my fault that food distributors decide to park themselves right here and not wherever there are starving people

It's not like if I choose not to eat some starving person will magically have food for a day

No, it's just more wasted food that ends up in the trash bin because no one bought it.

You could choose to spend less money on food, reducing the demand thereby reducing the supply and thereby making the world less consumer driven. You could even go so far as to donate the money you save to people who need it.

That sounds like bullshit. Any serious athlete eats more than him but I wouldn't call that unethical. The only problem with being fat is they aren't beautiful enough, and I dislike seeing, hearing, smelling, or thinking of them.

How am I supposed to do this? Find random people on the street and hand them money? Isn't that a bit exclusionary? Aren't I still immoral for showing preference for one individual or group of individuals over another. You can't win.

I just love food. I can't stop eating because I am only happy when I have some sort of food or soda sensation.

I have specific food that I like to have when I am in specific moods, and I think it is perfect

>Depressed
Whenever I get depressed I drive to the nearest KFC and sit in for exactly 2 hours, soaking the atmosphere and eating mashed potato bowls until I am full

>Stressed
I always melt some sugar and water in a skillet then pour it over a bowl of ice cream. The sound and softness helps me calm down.

>Angry
I like to eat snickers bars when I am angry. I like to pretend that the bars are my arteries and I suck out the Nougat and Caramel then pretend I am cleaning my heart.

>Laughing
Whenever I laugh I eat broccoli, because I dislike laughing and want to stop.

>Suprised
I carry around leftover rice. For some reason when I get scared I have to eat a handful. For example last week I was on a night walk and a man came behind me and started following so I stopped and ate leftover rice to calm down in the street.

These are just some examples really. But I am 450lbs.

I don't care about how you feel. Sure metabolism slows down as you age, but if you're eating poorly, you're eating poorly. If you want to lose weight you're gonna need a lifestyle change

This is why you're fat. BAKA. That cookie has 10x the calories you're burning.

Not according to MFP, though. Walking for 1 hour straight burns ~160 calories, the cookie has 100. I use the barcode scanner.

>>
>>28194010

Google TDEE calculator. None are perfect down to the kcal but it will give you a very good ballpark picture. Assuming you keep things steady and count calories by the week you could also estimate based on your weight loss by the week. Water will make things kind of fucky but again you're not really too concerned with that. If you want to lose weight and are maintain course, if not adjust energy or activity accordingly. I see 300 calorie deficit a day mentioned a lot and it seems reasonable enough.

I'm a bit extreme but short of some disease I tell pregnant women to not go any easier while pregnant, just avoid oly lifts and heavy bench for first two trimesters. 3rd trimester the joints are just asking for some JUST so I prefer swimming, elliptical, and high volume work. But in grandpa days preggo bitches were chopping wood and carrying water. It's not the time to begin a new program or increase your activity, but maintaining previous levels should be fine.
tl;dr : it depends

Nachos are gross. It's just a sloppy pile of hydrogenated garbage. You can't even taste anything.
>>
>>28194807
My point was is that you don't need to have complete self control. You need to have self control in short moments, which is not outside the possibility for most of us here.

Exactly. How is this controversial? It's like telling a recovering alcoholic not to keep a liquor cabinet in their house. Duh.
>>
>>28194696
we dont expect alcoholics or drug addicts to get over their addiction on their own, we send them to rehav.
The fact there is no obesity rehav is proof enough society doesnt give a shit about me, 3 months there would help me get over it. Hell even two weeks would do wonders.

im 42 and have lived by myself for the past 20 yrs. ive been living off tv dinners, pepsi, pizza, burgers, burritos, for basically all that time. not once have i used the oven or stove in my apartment. i think its finally catching up to me. im starting to have health issues. im surprised i made it this long, honestly. oh well.

It meets every definition of food. It's very good.

>>28194842

You're thinking of something else. Nachos is corn chips and a simple cheese sauce. Think cheese, emulsifier, milk, and spices. Your sauce is only as good as the cheese so don't be retarded and pick a flavorless cheese. This should be obvious, but I notice most people suck at cooking. I fry in lard but I render myself, no hydrogenation. I usually buy my chips though because their is little difference between homemade and store bought. It's not like pasta with drastic differences between home and store.
>>
>>28194846
I cook and shop relatively well (rarely buy straight junk food, cooking greens now with turkey instead of pork), my problem is that in the moments when I'm not in control I'll eat way too much or fry something instead of baking it. So instead of baking a tilapia fillet, I'll fry up 2-3 and a potato for the fuck of it, and those breaks in control are harder to avoid because they're at home instead of at the store.
>>
>>28194967
drug addicts have to pay the same prices. of course people are going to exploit your addiction.
>>
>>28194974
dude, you're describing hundreds (1000s/) of empty calories. Couldn't you just have a little bit of high quality cheese with some figs and almonds or something? This is why you're fat.
>>
>>28194865

Actually, it would be like if the majority of alcoholics had someone who bought all of their drinks and I pointed out that people that have to go out and buy their own actually have an easier path to stopping as their self control can be limited to the point while they're shopping.

Also, you don't need alcohol to survive but that's beside the point.

>>28194879
We send them to rehab and nothing happens until they actually feel like not drinking or doing drugs. It simply doesn't want to work until the point where they don't just not want to use drugs but don't feel like using drugs. You eat because you like the feeling of eating more than this stupid reality and they use for the same reason. It seems obvious but let me state that if you wanted to stop eating, you would have done so by now. Also, excess food isn't addicting in the food itself as some drugs are.

You want someone to step in and manage your problem? Sure, that would be great but it isn't going to happen. No one is going to save you until you stop buying as much food.
>>
>>28194886

Baby steps. Get a deep fryer and you'll develop a passion for cooking real quick. Anything baked is better fried. Best example is totinos pizza rolls. Not worth eating microwaved, slap ya' momma' good baked, ambrosia when fried.

Thanks anon Ive heard of TDEE before so Ill be sure to check that out
>>
>>28194978
That's interesting. It's great that you understand that some foods are less calorically dense. At this point you're probably only over eating by a few hundred calories a day. One option would be to limit the amount of calorie dense healthly food you have in the house to where you literally can't over eat from your TDEE. Of course the oil accounts for large part of what you eat. I advise you to start counting ever calorie you eat, even if you're eating over. You'll get a feel for what foods are 'worth' eating for the calories and what should be avoided. It would make you question if you really want to put that much oil into something.

You're on the right track.
>>
>>28195015

Cheese is high calorie but definitely not empty. All corn flour in the US is enriched, again not empty. My BMI is 19 so I'm on the row end of normal. I never liked fruit and cheese together, not even in cheesecake. You don't have to use high quality cheese, just get a slice of sharp cheddar from the deli. If it has wax it's fine for nachos.

If you like dairy and fruit try peaches or berries with a little cream. It's very good. Sherbet is a pain in the ass since I don't have a fancy compressor ice cream machine but it's worth it if you have guests coming.

Of course if we're just talking about what I could have had then we can include things like poop, cyanide, foie gras and oats, or even pine nuts eaten with soy milk like cereal. I just wasn't in the mood for those things.

Unless your doctor says it's explicitly weight-related I don't think it's very uncommon for 40 year olds to start experiencing deteriorating health. Most 40/50 year olds have at least one health issue.

It depends on your goals really. When doing my strength program I keep the garage cold and only doing sets of 3s I don't sweat much. If you're running though sweating will be inevitable.

Most likely you will sweat with good strength or cardio session. DOMS is the big one I hear people say is necessary but I don't believe is all that important. Repeated boutique effect is a gains goblin but it's not to the point you'd be much better off tailoring your programming to hurt. It's too impractical to be unable to climb a staircase just to add another 1.25lbs to the bar that week vs a more typical program.

You should also order a cheap scale from Aliexpress or Amazon, it really takes the guess work out of it. The longer you count the easier it gets, not just do to familiarity but you start remembering the calories of your commonly ate foods so it actually becomes less work.

Keep in mind that alcohol is high calorie but you're consuming calories through the carbohydrates in your beer as well and any sugar they put in. Usually, the higher the alcohol content is the lower the amount of calories per drink as they add less in. I make really dry cider that has few carbs and is mostly just flavour and alcohol.

Still, if you're at the point where you're drinking enough that its having a great effect you probably have to scale it back. I much prefer having a bottle of wine once every few weeks in one sitting than a single glass every day. Just 'save' up your alcohol and let loose if you have to.

Also you can work out the calories in something if you only have the grams of carbs, fat, protein or alcohol by remembering this rule.

Carbohydrates and protein have 4 calories per gram
Fat has 9
Alcohol has 7
>>
>>28195206
>read somewhere that you dont necessarily have to break a sweat for it to be a good workout is that not true?
You want to get your heart rate up rapidly and maintain that in order to burn more calories in a short amount of time, yes.

But it is actually possible to lose weight just from walking and dieting. If you walk about three miles a day, it should counterbalance at least one 300 calorie meal. Depending on your budgeting that's enough to create a deficit.

I knew a guy who went from 300 pounds to about 200 just from walking around my campus.

I got an Amazon scale already, I'm just putting it all together. I lost 65 pounds in 2012 when I was delivering appliances every day, but now that I'm a neet, I have to actually try to be smart and work at it.

So a whiskey and flavored water would be healthier than a beer, right?

>>
>>28195801
Sometimes that's purely genetic and people can have diabetes without even being medically overweight.
And what do diabetic 20 year olds have to do with the scientific fact that biologically older people are more susceptible to health issues?
Are you saying that's not true?
You're the exception like I'm an exception that I've been obese for most of my life yet don't have diabetes, high blood cholesterol, or blood pressure issues.
>>
>>28195680
Maybe, but you have to assume that for these people their diet may very well be with them for the rest of their life. It's not as much a show of willpower as doing whatever you can that will make you actually feel like eating below your TDEE each day while trying not to completely lose control.

How strict the diet it can be a measure of how quickly someone gives up, just look at the Youtuber Boogie who attempts to go on a water or juice diet and plans to lose 100 pounds in a few months but then gives up after a few days.

Alcohol is a great tool for some people. It's an exercise in not giving a fuck for a few hours.

>>28195716
I believe so, yes. You could also drink faster without eating much before if you wanted to get more out of less but what I personally do is just wait for a day where I did a fair amount of labour or exercise and then drink whatever I burned.

With your TDEE calculations, just select the option that you're sedentary with a desk job and then add in your exercise and other work each day if you do them. It will be far more accurate than using the other options.

If you eat 500 calories less per day it's possible to lose around a pound per week, which may seem too slow but it's better for your health and also your skin which won't be as flabby by the end.
>>
>>28195854
Literally nothing has been proven to be cured by fucking around w/ the human brain.
>>
>>28195963

While I think about it, you can get drunk off of less than 500 calories in certain circumstances. That's not really a lot to factor out of your diet. It's probably around 1/4 of your TDEE that you would have to withhold if you wanted to drink without gaining weight.

Often, but I don't shy away from the weight of change even if it's pointless and even meaningless. A man full of hope but never changes will still fare better than a man without hope and never changes. You don't have to feel okay all of the time and never stagger under the weight of just how awful life can be. Even small changes can make you feel like you're disregarding this gay earth while you do what you want.

I don't want to sound like a cock, but I'm really into Albert Camus The Myth of Sissyphus and I believe it's worth checking out. The idea of living in spite of things being meaningless is often found in Absurdism.

>>28196560

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse but you should really start trying to get a better understanding of how diet effects your blood sugar, even if you're not diabetic.

Not sure who you are but I'm assuming you're the person who was also posting about their diet at home and you seem pretty adverse to fat, based on your choice of turkey not pork. If you count calories long enough you'll get a feeling of if you want a low fat or a high fat diet and what actually makes you feel full but you should know that it's not only fibre that stops your blood sugar spiking as much when you eat something high in glycemic load but also fats and protein and thus eating bread loaded with butter may actually be better for not spiking your blood sugar than if you only ate plain bread. This is thought to be the reason why the French don't suffer as much from the western diet as some other countries. My point being is that if you're going to eat things that are high in glycemic load you should watch what you eat with it, unless repeated spikes for to your blood sugar is no longer a risk factor for the beetus.

You are aware that you shouldn't be either spending excess money on food or on stupid shit, right? You should be saving enough money to invest. Just checking. There's no secret that everyone else is in on and you're not. Most(who am I kidding) people don't feel like not over eating and feel like buying stupid shit along side you, only that they're aware that they feel that way and choose to feel uncomfortable instead.

That's the secret. Everyone you thought feels like improving themselves actually doesn't and just forces themselves anyway. You have to start doing the same. They don't feel any differently from you.
