I stared into my own dead eyes. The water was dark enough to see my own reflection in the thick glass wall that separated me from the stingrays. Never thought of myself as suicidal, but in this moment I felt the urge to break the glass, take out one of those abyssal creatures and stab myself to death with it.
Of course I didn't. Instead I decided to leave the aquarium for a walk outside. I lit a cigarette. It helped me relax. The otherwise crushing sadness felt now soothing. Melancholic.

Suddenly my phone rang. My heart was pounding. With a weird mixture of anxiety and joy I slid the call symbol to thre right.

A muffled male voice in the background distracted my attention. I felt weird. Disgusted. It felt like something in my stomach would crawl all the way up through my throat.
