No, ginseng doesn't cause heart palpitations. It never did for me, anyway, and I've never heard of it having those kinds of side effects.
B12 is not something you'll ever need to worry about unless you're vegan and/or take Metformin. Your body is capable of re-absorbing B12, so even tiny amounts will last you a very long time. It takes literally years to run short enough on B12 for you to feel the effects. Generally only vegans need to worry about it; the occasional piece of cheese or glass of milk is enough to keep you well-supplied with B12.
