Those 35 hours include travel time and I my jobcentre person, didn't really bother to add up all the hours spent searching. As long as you show that you've applied for some stuff you're usually ok, although that requires avoiding the jobmatch service like the plague since then they can actually monitor you. I used to only go on that site for an hour or two of the whole week and then recorded that I had gone on some of the other jobsearch websites but found nothing.
