I have been studying the gambler's fallacy and I believe it's beatable. Despite conventional math when given a 47.4% chance of winning in the real world your chances of losing 16 times consecutively are around 0.4% 32 times >0.1%
So I thought to myself surely If I just play roulette, starting at $1, bet on black and double my bet every loss I'll surely make money right? It's about the end game here and I have 290k in the bank. What could go wrong right?

It's called Martingale betting strategy and as with literally everything else you could come up with, has been came up with thousand times before and no it doesn't beat the system.

I've thought about this too. It would work easily if you calculated statistically the chances of it landing on a single colour n+1 times (anyone can calculate that), then adjust your bet depending on the results; starting high on each "reset" bet (i.e. just switched colours), staying high-betting for a few and gradually going lowering it (e.g. halving it) every time it lands say more than 4 times on a single colour. Rinse, repeat.
