There's no denying that OP is right here. I used to be a successful wage slave earning hundreds of thousands per year in the software industry but I resigned from my job and moved back in with mommy. Never been happier, desu. Even if it does make me feel like a man child and I get treated like one I don't have to sit awake at 3 fucking am and wonder what the hell happened to my life or what the point is. Wage slavery is like being dead, desu and I don't miss it by any margin.
Feels fucking incredible being a NEET again. Mommy pays for all my food and I barely pay anything for rent so savings are lasting. I spend most of my days planning a huge trip I'm going on soon and following my dreams (which are pretty humble, desu.) When my savings run out - I don't know. I sigh slightly as my eyes align with the burning rays of early sunlight. Do i enjoy waking up this early? No, nobody does. But i've grown past the mental age of 9 and have come to realise that life consists of more than doing things i like. My wife's eyes open and her mouth forms a playful mocking grin, she teases me softly with her finger knowing she doesn't have to get up for another 45 minutes. I lightheartedly nudge her and pull her toward me. I rub through her hair and kiss her. "I'll be home soon, my love". "Hurry back", she says as we give eachother one last loving kiss. I put on a dark blue tailored suit, get a nice clean shave and comb my hair until it's just right. "Nice", i wink at myself and make my way down the hall. I stand in the doorway of my son's room for a while and tell him to sleep tight and wish him a good day at school. I silently make my way downstairs and close the doors toward the living room. "My time to shine". I put on some smooth jazz and jive my way across the floor grabbing everything needed for my nice and nutritious breakfast. 10 minutes later i'm sipping a primo Italian espresso and munching on some quality exotic fruits and fibrous wheats while calmly reading my crisp new paper.
By the time i'm finished my wife and son have made their way downstairs, just as i'm about to head out. "Good luck daddy!" my son says with a smile that completely brightens anyone's day.
My wife slowly approaches me while grinning and whispers teasinly "Yeah, good luck. Now i know you're going for beers with your buddies Dave and Chris after work but make sure you'll get home early and i'll call you daddy aswell if you catch my drift".
