I fiddle around with MBTI tests every few months and typically get INTP. I've also gotten ISTP recently, but far less frequently. Used to get INTJ when I was younger. As I'm only slightly more introverted than extroverted, I've gotten ENTP/ESTP/ENTJ on MBTI tests in the past (it's always by a small margin either way).

I'm just as confused by your results as that test is. I can only advise you to read more about cognitive functions, think about which functions you most identify with and decide your type that way. It takes some reading and reflecting. But remember that if believing Myers-Briggs' theory, each type has a certain function stack and there can't be for example a type with Fi, Ni and Ti as equally dominant functions. Pic related.
...Or you can try consulting someone who actually knows something about Myers-Briggs and cognitive functions.

The test is heavily flawed but the best thing it does is posit the idea that people can have vastly different motivations and patterns of behavior. When I was younger I thought everyone thought similarly to me. Which confused me, because I seemed to get on with so few of them. Then I thought that I was the only one who was weird. Then I learned that a lot of people are different, there are some people who are similar to you, and you can find common ground with other people even if 16 types is too few to meaningfully place every person into or if nobody is exactly alike. It's a good tool for conversation and creates a baseline vocabulary for pseudo-intellectual armchair psychologists to compare and contrast what makes them tick.

The MBTI is bullshit, seeing as you can take the same test every two weeks and get a different answer almost every time, but my results tend to cluster around INTP INTJ.

It's not that the descriptions of INTP and INTJ don't describe me (although I feel the latter is more accurate, but that might just be how I want myself to be), it's just that- as my various attempts of the test show, I don't get shoe horned into one.
