I am a left leaning moderate. Even though some of his opinions are a little bit too liberal for me, I respect him. He's the only candidate who gives a damn about those at the bottom rung, getting fucked on the daily. He's sincere and steadfast in his beliefs, you can tell. I know you're not supposed to trust politicians, that they're all dirty liars who will say anything to get elected, but Bernie makes me want to believe different, just for him.

I am personally behind many of the stances that Bernie takes but the problem is that you have to be a moderate to get anything done in the White House and more than that you have to have friends there which Bernie clearly doesn't. It doesn't matter what he wants; higher taxes, free education, higher minimum wage, because it would just get shot down in congress. He also doesn't seem to grasp the financial world too well. He thinks breaking up the big banks into small banks would do anything, instead of acknowledging the real problems like Investment banks merging with Commercial banks and the effective repeal of the Glass-Steagall act which largely contributed to the 2008 financial crisis. But I feel like he would take well to counsel and advisers in that type of field.
However, I do think he's an important candidate this time around. It shows that the American people are more than willing to back a guy who is basically a socialist. It's a good indicator that people want to move away from a two-party system.
In the end, it's going to be Hillary. I know it's going to be Hillary, there is just no way around it. I don't like Hillary, but I don't think she would do anything drastic anyways.
