I use to go running a lot but my leg is recovering right now so I've been doing more body weight stuff. What made it fun for me was listening to anime/video game music while running. Treating my runs like a video game or epic life or death moment put me in the right mindset to endure discomfort I guess.

The food you eat is most likely a problem too, but cutting the soda (sugar) out of your diet would do a ton of good.
