I love Manhunt but to this day, I still haven't completely beat it. Not because it's gory or anything, I just stop playing midway for some reason.. I'm gonna make it a goal to finish it soon.

Manhunt 2 is even gorier, I've heard.

CLOSED WOMB OF THE MOTHER

SYMBOLS

for real though this film is as beautiful as it is stupid. Refn's eye for aesthetics is wonderful. If only he could find a way to build it into a cohesive narrative structure that was more than just empty symbols for symbols' sake...

No, I just lost interest when they introduced guns to the mix.. They should've left it to melee weapons only.

I still love the game but I think thats why I stopped playing. But I should finish it so I can fight based Pigsy.

Just because a narrative structure is cohesive doesn't mean it's delivered or executed in an easily accessible or even coherent fashion, Anon. Refn's films are all triumphs of style, and incredibly insubstantial, I think. That's all I was saying.

>first few times I played it I could hear my heart beat from the intensity

I felt sick much of the time while playing Man Hunt 2. After finishing the game I felt a combination of disgust, guilt, and relief.

Guessing the effects were amplified because I played it when my life was at a low point.

>>28146205
>>28146241
Nah, the guns in original Manhunt were introduced at the right time, and there weren't too many of them. For me, it really upped the intensity and changed the game-play just when the game was starting to get a bit stale and routine.

>Do you think we will ever see Manhunt 3 in our lifetimes? Even if it turns out terrible I want to see it

IDK, but I dont want to see it if is terrible - which it will likely be since video games revolve around multiplayer and coop now.

Manhunt is a robot game at its core because you, a single person, must survive being hunted by GANGS. Introducing Multiplayer and co-op gameplay would kill a Manhunt game for me.
>>
>>28148113
I'd imagine if they made a 3rd one it would be an okay single player and heavily focused of some weird multiplayer

Nobody will, don't feel too bad about it, the levelling system is so mangled.

Storyline goes as this though from the guide:

Creator fabricated beings known as the Arcaneans "True people"; they used a power known as Chaos to drive their civilization's growth; however because the power was derived from Chaos it caused a devolution of the users themselves and gave rise to the anomalies of the world such as undead and monsters, even the current humans. The Seven Wonders were locations where they conducted the experiments.

Creator decided to destroy its' own creations as a result of their own failures and left the world.

Long story short, problems in the world during the game are resulting from people using relics from the past for control and power like Basil Galileos did. (One of the possible penultimate Bosses in Laura's Scenario)
