In middle school, we had this black kid start school. Found out we were interested in the same stuff, science and science fiction, rocketry, robotics, etc.
When we got to high school, he started avoiding me and started acting dumb and hanging around with a group of black people that were walking stereotypes.
Even though he hung around them, though, they treated him like shit all the time, making fun of how he talked, how he was short, and bad at basketball.
Sophomore year, a bunch of us were going to ACen but someone backed out. For some reason, I called him up and talked him into going.
We hung out together all day and it was like being back in middle school.
Then, while a bunch of us were standing around talking at the end of the day, some fatass looks at him and says, "who let the nigger in? Does he belong to one of you? ha ha"
Everyone started yelling at the guy for being a shithead, but my friend just walked off and sat down on a bench looking fucking depressed as hell.
I went over and he was like, "I know what you were trying to do by getting me to come along and all, but I'm never going to fit in anywhere."
Really felt bad for him.
