I find that most normies dislike it when you keep a cool head when they are rude or aggressive towards your. They expect some minor drama but you simply don't give it to them.

I found that being polite but cold works better. Don't try out actively to help with everything and refuse the more annoying tasks.

I used to be super polite because me mom raised me that way. At some point I learned that it was a crutch and people don't like you if you're overpolite, now I'm crass af and people like me more.

Not being an asshole if that makes sense. I'm not going out of my way to give them a gift or something like that I'm just being a decent human. I get constantly ignored by people who I thought where friends with me.
I think the majority of /r9k/ are called "nice" their whole life.
Your mom sheltered you as a kid, always taught you good manners and you never started any confrontation. First you were the "good boy" and now you are "nice". And with every year passing by being nice get's you less and less. Women aren't attracted to you sexually, You don't know how to flirt because you are afraid it might seem offensive. Guys don't want to drink with you. You always obey the authority. If you work your boss toys around with you. People scam you left and right and you still respond positively. You slowly realize that being nice doesn't get you shit, but you are so used to it you can't help it. It actually slowes you down.
When people hand you flyers you always take them. When marketing people call you on your phone you always talk to them. When mormons come to your house you listen to them and try to politely say "no" for 10 minutes. You pick stuff up for people. Relatives always call you for help, but you get none of it back

yeah my mom sheltered me big time. it really fucked me up, my dad was also abusive as fuck which didnt help at all. I have seen a few kids from upscale homes and respectable families who had very "nice" kids. super polite and genuinely nice to people, very positive and all that. Everything seems like a dream world for them sort of 60s commercial tier good life sort of thing then things start to fall apart when the kids get to dating age and their nice personalities dont get them laid and they become social rejects.
And then there are the kids who are rude and abrasive and their parents actually try and get them ready for the social life etc and instill confidence in them and they basically get what they want.
My cousins parents are like that. This one time i was visiting there for a family reunion and my mom was there and one of the adults said somehting very rude to my cousin as a joke and my cousin said "shut the fuck up you fat bastard" (my cousin is like 10 y./o) and my mom started reprimanding him for being rude and "talking to an adult like that" My aunt flipped out on her.
