I don't know, 2009-2010 r9k was one of the last things that kept me from killing myself. Guess it's quite different now, but there was at least some relief knowing there's someone extant that knows how you feel.
Spending less time on 4chan helped me improve, but probably only because I had time to work on fixing my problems and not so much that it's inherently bad for you.
