nah, the game doesn't start getting hard until Ithryill. First boss that took me more than 5 tries was the Pontiff. But the bosses aren't even the good part of the game 2bh, I like the world design and invasion mechanics. I have a shitload of characters now
1. lv120 NG+ character using Brass Armor and Murakumo
2. lv70 Londo invader using Sellsword Armor and Black Knight Halberd (this is my favorite desu, he's named PEPE THE FROG)
3. lv60 Dungeon invader using Eastern Armor and the Carthus Curved Sword
4. lv40 Catacombs invader using the full Darkwraith set as well as Maniken Claws
5. lv30 Farron invader using all of Artorias's stuff
6. lv20 Undead Settlement invader using Smough's set, iron flesh/carthus flame arc pyromancy and a carthus curved greatsword
7. lv20 High Wall cave man with a great club and loincloth
I don't ONLY invade with these guys, I help with bosses sometimes, but invading is just so much fun. I love killing people, the Smough one is my favorite since you can just ironflesh then power through people's straight sword spam phantom hordes

Only people who started gaming in the late 90's / 2000 or later are bad, and not just because old games were "harder." Unless you were rich or went to rental stores a lot, you were stuck with only a few games at a time. You were forced to think your way through the cryptic bullshit. This is the most pvp I've ever played and so far the most matches that I've one. Yesterday I went through 7 or 8 people without dying until I had to leave.

Estus is too damn fast in this game but other than that yeah pvp is awesome.
I'm rocking the full blind samurai set with some katanas and a bow. It feels great my dude. Fashion souls never felt so damn good since it's actually useful armor.

Probably the fact that you have to think about the fights and learn in real time if you don't want to die.
If you've played MonHun before, then the games will probably be easy because the rolling is 100x more forgiving in this. My left bumper is broken so I'm playing the game exclusively with no blocking and it's not that hard if you understand where the i-frames are and that alone is something anyone can pick up in two minutes.

Its ok anon I was at about the same place 30 hours in. I'm now 50 hours in and just beat the dragon slayer armor. If it makes you feel any better it took me like 15 tries to kill the the pontiff because I can't parry for shit.

mfw i never knew that, I just used a handy trick i learned from bloodborne, don't target lock onto bosses, made it much easier to dodge him since I could roll up and around his shit instead of the 8 directions while facing him

In dark souls 1 i was stuck at the very first checkpoint for 6 hours straight
its fun as hell though because once you learn how to play properly through trial and error you are set for most of the game only dying when the next odd encounter comes along and you have to tweak your moves

If so, give parrying a try. Also, in his second form if you run up the stairs and then jump off the other end and then immediately run to the stairs again he'll follow you the whole way but instead of going onto the stairs his ai gets stuck running into the wall on the side of the stairs. You can then just cheese him by hitting through the fence.
