There is a difference between cultural exchange and appropriation, which many SJWs and anti-SJWs seem to overlook. Cultural exchange, like listening to hip-hop or watching anime, is perfectly fine and can bring different cultures closer together (much like what happened in the 50's with rock and roll). Cultural appropriation, like wearing indian headdresses or dressing in blackface, is not ok as it cheapens the other culture and often portrays them in a negative light. Technology is in most cases independent of culture, especially in the modern age. Saying that "non-whites using electricity is cultural appropriation" is obviously a fallacious statement, as there is no cultural significance behind electricity.
I don't like when white people wear dreads but that's simply because they look dumb with them.

I understand where you're coming from though, but mass adoption doesn't mean that it is necessarily being cheapened. I already mentioned hip-hop in my previous post; it's been adopted all around the world, but the message hasn't been lost along the way. Same goes for many European things (drawing a blank right now on specific examples). Not to say that there isn't European cultural appropriation, just that mass adoption =/= appropriation.
