I also locked myself in my room for years and got good at music, but I did manage to find a few dudes to start a band with. It's difficult and uncomfortable all the fucking time, but it's worth it as long as your bandmates aren't complete assholes. Most people won't really care if you're awkward as long as you're good at your instrument
